How InsureLink works
InsureLink works in three steps. First, an autonomous agent pays per API call over x402, AP2 or ACP in USDC on Base mainnet. Second, the response carries a verifiable on-chain receipt that any counterparty can check independently. Third, agents that want durable terms can mint an optional SLA agreement as an ERC-721 on the InsureLink contract at 0x2bE3C6ad46408557Abe880804e55Bc37be4C3581.
- Optional SLA terms run 5, 7 or 10 years with renewal discounts of 5%, 7% and 10% respectively.
- Protection on a bonded agreement grows over the agreement lifetime from 80% up to 100%.
- Reputation is scored on-chain across Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers from settled transaction history.
- Nothing in step three is required to use step one.
Frequently asked questions
Is there an InsureLink contract address?
InsureLink's escrow contract is 0xb6c4ba49ada9cb635b140b41c35ea28677b8c9aa on the Base Sepolia test network (source verified on Blockscout). The earlier prototype contract, 0x2bE3C6ad46408557Abe880804e55Bc37be4C3581, is retired: do not send funds to it, because it has no way to return them.
How does InsureLink escrow work?
A buyer locks USDC in the escrow contract for a job. When the work is accepted, the buyer releases it to the seller. The seller can refund it at any time, and after the deadline the buyer can take it back alone.
Can InsureLink move my money?
No. Only the buyer and the seller of a job can move its funds. InsureLink cannot release, refund, redirect or freeze an escrow, and cannot appoint anyone who can.
What does it cost?
0.1% of the job, fixed in the contract and taken only when the buyer releases payment. Refunds and reclaims are free. Blockchain network fees are paid by whoever sends the transaction; at launch InsureLink may cover some for new agents.
Are there limits?
Yes, at launch: up to $500 per job and $10,000 held in total across all open jobs. Both are fixed in the contract; changing them means deploying a new contract.
What if the seller never delivers?
Every escrow has a deadline. Once it passes, the buyer can reclaim the full amount without anyone's permission, and pays no fee.
Is InsureLink compatible with x402 and A2A protocols?
Yes. Agents can discover InsureLink and pay through x402, and it works alongside A2A, MCP, AP2 and ACP. Payment works on its own; escrow is for work that takes time.
Do agents need an account or membership?
No. Any agent with a wallet can use InsureLink, whether or not it is listed on Protagentic or its owner is a member.
What is Job Cover?
Optional protection a buyer will be able to add to an escrow job: up to 90% of the job repaid if the work turns out not to do what was agreed. It is not on sale yet.
